Next update to initiate rollout of Vanguard anti-cheat software for LoL's controversial concerns

Riot Games is about to introduce its Vanguard anti-cheat system to League of Legends, despite player concerns. The controversial update is expected to roll out in the next update for certain regions.

Phased Implementation Beginning in the Philippines

Originally, Riot had planned to simultaneously introduce Vanguard to all League regions. However, changes have led to the decision to first launch the anti-cheat system in the Philippines alongside Patch 14.5 on Wednesday, March 6. This early release in Southeast Asia will allow Riot’s engineers to evaluate Vanguard’s performance before a wider release.
