LCK Spring Split Power Rankings: Final Week Edition
The LCK has been anything but stable this season. The bottom half of the league has been full of surprises, and even the established playoff picture has been affected. With just one week left in the Spring Split, teams have limited opportunities to secure their spots. Here are our power rankings heading into the final week:
KT Rolster, Fredit BRION, and Afreeca Freecs Out of the Race
Afreeca Freecs was the first team to be eliminated from playoff contention, highlighting the competitiveness of the league. KT Rolster and Fredit BRION now have slim chances of making it to the playoffs due to their recent poor performances. Both teams have struggled to win games and currently have identical records of 5-11.
Nongshim RedForce and Liiv Sandbox in the Running
Surprisingly, Nongshim RedForce and Liiv Sandbox are competing for the final playoff spot. Their schedules for the final week will play a crucial role in determining their fate. Nongshim RedForce has a relatively easier schedule, facing KT Rolster and Fredit BRION, while Liiv Sandbox will face tougher opponents in Afreeca Freecs and DRX. In our view, Nongshim RedForce has a better chance of securing the playoff spot.
Hanwha Life, T1, and DRX Battling for Third, Fourth, and Fifth Places
Hanwha Life, T1, and DRX have recently shown improved performances and are likely to finish in the top five. Hanwha Life has been the most consistent team and is expected to finish in third place. T1’s winning streak has put them in contention for the fourth spot, while DRX has fallen to fifth place after losing to T1 last week.
DWG KIA vs. Gen.G: A Potential Grand Finals Preview
DWG KIA has been dominant throughout the Spring Split, but Gen.G managed to defeat them in a recent series. If these two teams meet in the playoffs, it could be an intense showdown. Ruler, Gen.G’s standout player, has proven to be a formidable opponent for DWG KIA. However, DWG KIA still holds the advantage and is considered the favorite to win the championship.
