CaptainFlowers to Miss Mid-Season Invitational Broadcast
League of Legends shoutcaster Clayton “CaptainFlowers” Raines decided not to participate in this year’s Mid-Season Invitational broadcast, as announced on social media.
Although invited to broadcast the event, CaptainFlowers declined the opportunity, as confirmed by him.
Reasons for CaptainFlowers’ Absence
CaptainFlowers mentioned his struggles with his sleep schedule as a reason for not being on the talent desk for the event in Chengdu, China. The extensive air travel and potential impact on his sleep and health were major concerns for him.
Additionally, Flowers highlighted his soy allergy as another factor influencing his decision to stay home. His past experiences dealing with this allergy during Worlds 2023 in Korea influenced his choice to prioritize his health and well-being.
Plans During MSI
In opting out of any MSI-related content, CaptainFlowers intends to take the entirety of May off until the LCS Summer Split in June. Despite his absence, he expressed confidence in the show’s quality and the dedication of his colleagues.
MSI Broadcast Talent
As Riot has yet to reveal the full lineup of on-air talent for the 2024 Mid-Season Invitational, the tournament is set to commence on Wednesday, May 1.
