YouTube Mom Furious as Son Begs for Fortnite Skins with Bible Verses

Fortnite Player Uses Bible Verses to Beg for Skins

An avid Fortnite: Battle Royale player has found a unique way to earn money for in-game skins – by quoting the Bible. This interesting tactic has caught the attention of many in the gaming community.

Meredith Masony, the mother behind the popular YouTube channel “That’s Inappropriate,” recently posted a video rant where she revealed that her 12-year-old son has been using parables from Jesus to convince her to buy him Fortnite skins.

Fed up with her children’s obsession with Fortnite, Masony turned to YouTube and Facebook to express her frustration. She described how her son constantly begs her for cosmetic items from the game’s Item Shop, claiming that Fortnite has completely taken over their lives.

When Masony repeatedly refused to give in to her son’s demands, he resorted to using Jesus’ teachings as a persuasive tactic. He reminded her of a Bible story where Jesus said that those who ask shall receive, implying that Masony should comply with his desire for Fortnite skins.

Clearly taken aback by her son’s approach, Masony humorously recounts the incident in her video. However, she also seeks a solution to her predicament. She calls upon Epic Games, the developers of Fortnite, to intervene and help her find a compromise that will prevent her son from using Bible verses to manipulate her.

Masony’s plea to Epic Games may not result in an immediate change, but her frustration sheds light on a bigger issue – gaming addiction. The World Health Organization has recognized “gaming disorder” as a disease, emphasizing the negative impact it has on individuals’ lives, such as work, school, and social relationships.

The responsibility of preventing gaming addiction falls on game developers as well as the players themselves. While the WHO’s classification of gaming disorder has faced pushback, it is crucial for parents to seek outside help if their children are genuinely addicted to games like Fortnite.
