Metallica collaborates with Fortnite and gives a sneak peek at Fall Guys Cosmetics
In an exciting twist for heavy metal fans and gamers alike, Metallica made its way into the world of Fortnite on June 13. However, that was not the only surprise Epic Games had planned for players. As a hidden gem, the popular franchise Fall Guys made its presence known by gently incorporating some of its cosmetics.
For months, the Fortnite community has been excitedly anticipating the release of Fall Guys. This crossover was first teased a few months ago, with Epic Games noting in April that additional time was required. Fortunately, it appears that the wait is almost over, as numerous Fall Guys cosmetics were recently introduced with Patch v30.10, but they have yet to appear in the in-game store.
The news of the Fall Guys cosmetics leaked thanks to a well-known Fortnite content creator and leaker, iFireMonkey. In the early hours of June 13, iFireMonkey uploaded photographs of a Fall Guys Back Bling with a cute pink bean creature wearing a small crown. Simultaneously, he unveiled a new Fall Guys Pickaxe boasting a delightful blend of pink, white, and yellow colors, along with a music pack and a banner icon.
All of these new elements are imbued with the essence of Fall Guys, with the soundtrack pack featuring an emblem embellished with several Fall Guys figures. This is a strong indication that Epic Games is actively trying to add Fall Guys to the realm of Fortnite, and we can expect an epic arrival soon.
Unfortunately, details about this collaboration remain scant. iFireMonkey’s posts provided no specific information on the future of this collaboration. Earlier this year, a roadmap stated that Fall Guys will arrive near the end of Chapter Five, Season Two, but this was only a rumor. However, another well-known leaker, HYPEX, released a video indicating that the items would be revealed in “Chapter 5, Season 3.”
Given the vagueness of these intentions, we can only wait and see what Epic Games has in store for us. Hopefully, the near future will bring more intriguing news and a full-fledged collaboration between Fall Guys and Fortnite.
