VALORANT introduces new ‘drop-in drop-out’ Deathmatch mode

VALORANT Patch 3.07 Introduces Convenient Change to Deathmatch Mode

In the latest update for VALORANT, Patch 3.07, players will find a significant change to the Deathmatch mode. Now, players can freely join and leave Deathmatch games without any penalties, making pre-match warm-ups much more convenient.

VALORANT players often like to warm up before diving into a match, especially if they are looking to climb the ranks. However, the Deathmatch mode in VALORANT isn’t always the most convenient option for preparation. Playing Deathmatch can feel tedious, particularly if you have to play multiple matches in a row.

But with Patch 3.07, a new “drop-in drop-out” update has been introduced, removing any penalty for leaving a Deathmatch early. This means that warming up with Deathmatch is no longer a commitment, and players can leave the game whenever they feel ready. It’s important to note that XP is only awarded to those who participate in a full match, so keep that in mind before departing.

However, this update doesn’t fulfill all player requests for the Deathmatch mode. Some players still desire a lengthier version for extended practice sessions, as well as additional options like headshots only or health regeneration after a kill. Custom Deathmatch maps are also sought after by players for a better experience since the large maps can lead to constant searching for enemies.

Despite its imperfections, VALORANT’s Deathmatch mode has taken a step in the right direction with this update, which has been well-received by the community. Patch 3.07 also includes updates to Viper’s wall, ensuring that “high flying” players still receive the decay debuff. Additionally, several bugs that caused VALORANT to crash have been addressed, resulting in a smoother gameplay experience.
