Sentinels’ Victory at Masters Madrid Sets New Record as the Most-Watched VALORANT Match Ever

Sentinels Breaks VALORANT Viewership Records in VCT Masters Madrid 2024

After three years, Sentinels made their mark by claiming the VCT trophy in the international finals. Not only did they secure the victory, but Sentinels also set a new record for VALORANT viewership.

The grand finals of VCT Masters Madrid 2024, featuring Sentinels against Gen.G, became the most-watched VALORANT match to date. With a peak viewership of 1.665 million, according to Esports Charts, fans were captivated by the intense showdown. As the series progressed to the fifth map, viewership continued to rise, surpassing the previous record set by the 2022 Champions final between OpTic and LOUD.

Sentinels’ success didn’t come as a surprise. In the previous Masters event at Reykjavík 2021, their win against Fnatic reached a peak viewership of 1.085 million, setting another VALORANT record at the time.

Masters Madrid showcased the growth of both the VALORANT game and the Sentinels brand. Sentinels had three matches during the tournament that attracted over one million viewers, with the grand finals against Gen.G breaking all-time records. Moreover, Sentinels also claimed the highest peak viewership on their own channel during the final, as Tarik saw over 290,000 viewers.

What makes Sentinels’ achievement even more impressive is that it happened amidst competition from the final day of the Elimination Stage of the first CS2 Major at PGL Copenhagen. Other popular CS2 rosters like G2 and NAVI were also in action at the same time.

This success at Masters Madrid sets the stage for another groundbreaking year for VALORANT in the 2024 VCT season. With teams like Sentinels, LOUD, Karmine Corp, and Paper Rex, who have incredibly dedicated fan bases, the year’s biggest event, Champions 2024, promises to be a record-breaking spectacle.
