Riot Introduces Vanguard, the Latest Anti-Cheat System for VALORANT

Riot Games Introduces Vanguard: The Anti-Cheat System for VALORANT

In the world of shooter games, having a reliable anti-cheat system is crucial. That’s why Riot Games, the developers behind the popular game League of Legends, has created Vanguard, their newest anti-cheat system, for their upcoming FPS game VALORANT.

Vanguard, owned and developed by Riot Games, will serve as a powerful shield against hackers in VALORANT when it is released later this year. It is a cheat detection tool that constantly evolves to detect cheaters and ban them immediately.

If a player is caught cheating, the game will immediately end for all participants. However, the players in the game lobby will have their loss forgiven, while the cheater will be banned on the spot. This innovative system aims to control the number of cheaters in the game, whether it’s the opening week or months after its release.

In addition to Vanguard, VALORANT will also feature an in-engine “fog-of-war” system. This system prevents players from seeing the locations of opposing players until they make line-of-sight contact. By implementing this feature, Riot Games hopes to combat wallhackers and ensure a fair gameplay experience.

While Vanguard is a step in the right direction, Riot Games needs to be cautious in its implementation. It is crucial that only actual cheaters are punished, as no anti-cheat system is perfect. Vanguard must have the ability to differentiate between legitimate and illegitimate gameplay to avoid wrongfully banning innocent players.
