Presenting: The Latest Update for VALORANT – Patch 3.12 Notes

VALORANT Patch 3.12 Introduces Agent-Specific Keybinds and Punishment for Friendly Fire

The latest VALORANT update, Patch 3.12, brings some notable additions and changes to the game. One of the key features is the introduction of agent-specific keybinds, allowing players to customize their keybinds for each agent. This new option can be found in the Controls section under Actions, where players can create, delete, and search for keybind profiles for each agent. Although you can only create one profile per agent, this is still a great addition that provides more flexibility and customization for players.

Another useful feature added in Patch 3.12 is the ability to copy your default keybindings to one or all profiles. This can come in handy when there’s a conflict with binds, as you can now easily see what other items are assigned to the same binding. Additionally, players have the option to revert individual changes to bindings in each keybind profile, allowing them to reset the binds to their original state when the profile was created.

A new reporting feature has also been implemented in the agent select menu. This feature enables players to report disruptive or toxic players during the pre-game phase, providing a way to address such behavior sooner. On top of that, players can now add others to their friends list directly from the agent selection screen, making it easier to connect with teammates who have a positive impact on the game experience.

One of the most exciting updates in Patch 3.12 is the implementation of friendly fire detection. Players who intentionally and excessively damage their teammates will now face punishment. Although the specific punishments were not listed, they are likely to include matchmaking cooldowns or even bans. This addition aims to create a more enjoyable and cooperative environment for all players.

Riot Games has also addressed several community requests and made some visual improvements. Wide player cards are once again displayed on loading screens and kill banners, providing players with more personalized and impactful visuals. The patch also includes changes and bug fixes for Slate/UI from Unreal Engine 4.26 and 4.27. Additionally, a bug causing abilities with held objects to display incorrectly in third person has been resolved, affecting characters such as Skye, Sage, Jett, Yoru, and Reyna. Lastly, the bug allowing players to spam party invites has been fixed.
