Riot Teases Firelight Ekko and Elderwood Skins for Gnar and Rek’Sai in League of Legends

Riot Games Reveals New League of Legends Skins

Riot Games has unveiled the next three skins for League of Legends. Two of these skins are from the Elderwood forest and one is from the Arcane series.

The official League Twitter account for the U.K., Ireland, and Nordics shared the splash arts and in-game renders of the upcoming skins for Gnar, Rek’Sai, and Ekko. It seems like the Ekko skin takes us back in time by one month.

Four League champions who appeared in Arcane have already received themed skins based on their characters in the show. Jayce, Vi, Caitlyn, and Jinx got their skins, but Ekko was left out until now.

Ekko’s new skin is called Firelight Ekko, and it is inspired by his gang, the Firelights, from the animated series. The splash art for the skin shows Ekko using his hoverboard and holding the mask he wore in the second act of Arcane.

Additionally, Riot revealed two new skins for the Elderwood universe. Gnar and Rek’Sai are joining the Elderwood line-up, which includes champions like Hecarim, Veigar, and Azir. Players can expect vibrant chromas for these skins, just like the previous Elderwood skins.

The release date for these skins is still uncertain. However, considering that Riot recently launched the Cafe Cuties skin line with Patch 11.23, it’s possible that Gnar, Rek’Sai, and Ekko’s skins will arrive on the Rift later this month or early next year.
