Pacific VALORANT team hints at a full roster overhaul for the upcoming year

Global Esports to Undergo Complete Roster Rebuild for VCT 2024

With a new season approaching, many VALORANT teams in the international VCT leagues are expected to make changes. Global Esports, a Pacific team with a strong fan base, seems ready to start fresh.

Today, Global Esports announced on their Twitter account their plans for a complete roster rebuild for next year. The caption, “For new things to begin, some must end,” accompanied a graphic showing the names of all six main roster players from 2023, indicating that they will be replaced.

The only team representing India in VCT has already made changes, with two players, Jordan “AYRIN” He and Kim “t3xture” Na-ra, leaving the organization. Park “Bazzi” Jun-ki has been moved to the inactive roster temporarily. AYRIN and t3xture have been removed from the GE section of the VCT Global Contract Database.

The remaining members of the roster are also expected to leave, although no official announcement has been made by GE yet. According to reports, Ganesh “SkRossi” Gangadhar is being replaced, and he is allowed to explore offers from other teams. Cahya “Monyet” Nugraha has reportedly signed a verbal agreement with Paper Rex.

However, GE has already secured the first member of their new roster. Indonesian BOOM Esports player Gary “blaZek1ng” Dastin has reached a verbal agreement with the team.

Global Esports’ decision to rebuild their roster comes after a disappointing year for the team. They had a 3-6 record in VCT Pacific League play and lost both of their opening round matches at VCT LOCK//IN and the Pacific LCQ. GE is not the only Pacific team making significant changes, as Gen.G and T1 have also undergone roster shake-ups, with more teams expected to follow suit.
