Ninjas in Pyjamas Expands into Brazil with New VALORANT Division, EU Roster and Staff Depart

Ninjas in Pyjamas Moves VALORANT Division to Brazil

The Ninjas in Pyjamas organization has announced its plan to relocate its VALORANT division to Brazil. This move is part of a new initiative called “Ninjas in Brazil,” which includes the establishment of a headquarters in Latin America.

Parting Ways with European VALORANT Roster

As a result of this decision, Ninjas in Pyjamas will be parting ways with the current members of its European VALORANT roster. Emir “rhyme” Muminovic, Egor “chiwawa” Stepanyuk, Yaroslav “Jady” Nikolaev, Adam “ec1s” Eccles, Charles “CREA” Beauvois, coach Emil “eMIL” Sandgren, and assistant coach Kévin “Ex6TenZ” Droolans are now free to explore new opportunities, according to COO Jonas Gunderson.

A Focus on Long-Term Investment

Gunderson explained that the organization’s decision to move its VALORANT division is driven by a desire to invest in the game’s potential in the long term. The current European positioning was deemed insufficient for their ambitions, both in terms of performance and engagement. Moving to Brazil will provide a foundation for NiP to allocate significant resources and drive innovation.

Establishing a Strong Foothold in Latin America

NiP aims to build an even stronger presence in Latin America, leveraging the success of its Brazilian Rainbow Six Siege roster, who are the reigning Six Invitational champions. The organization plans to establish another Young Ninjas academy in Latin America, ultimately leading to the creation of a full-scale Ninjas in Brazil division.

This move follows a series of significant developments for NiP this year, including a rebrand, the acquisition of CS:GO superstar dev1ce, and their merger with ESV5 and entry into China’s LPL in 2022.
