Discovering Chamber’s Codename
The name “Deadeye,” which is Chamber’s codename, was first spotted in VALORANT’s Year One Anthem video in June. It was written on the side of a gun and later found in the game’s files, trailers, teasers, and other media.
Chamber’s Voice and Role in Fracture Map
A teaser for Fracture, VALORANT’s latest map, features a mysterious French voice. It is most likely Chamber’s voice, confirmed by Riot to be a “well dressed” and “well-armed” French weapon designer. In the video, Chamber says: “Incredible that something so small can create such an opportunity. Their efforts were noble, but sacrifices must be made. Such a pity.”

Chamber, revealed on Oct. 29, is a sentinel with a unique twist. He shares some similarities with agents like Killjoy and Cypher but focuses more on dealing damage. His kit includes a personalized pistol and a golden sniper rifle as his ultimate.

Chamber’s Appearance and Perfectionist Nature
Chamber is described as good-looking, muscular, and well-dressed. He pays attention to fine details, from his clothing to the color of his garments. He’s a perfectionist, focusing on every aspect of his shot to land the perfect hit.
“That feeling was the core of his thematic: the idea that the distance of the shot, the breeze in the wind, the type of powder in the ammo, all these fine details must be taken into account to land the perfect hit,” Riot said.
Agent Release Delay
Chamber was initially planned to be released in Episode Three, Act Three. However, Riot had to delay the agent until Patch 3.10, which will be released on Nov. 16. Riot stated that they wanted to ensure Chamber meets the high-quality standards expected by players.
“Sometimes the last 10 percent of work really brings together the previous 90 percent of work,” Riot said on Oct. 28.
