Gambit’s 13-0 Victory on Breeze Sparks Remarkable Comeback against Team Secret in VCT Champions

Gambit Avoids Upset with Dominant Performance at VCT Champions

Gambit faced a tough challenge against Team Secret in their Group C opener at VCT Champions. After a surprising loss in the first map, Gambit rallied and dominated the next two maps to secure the victory and avoid an upset.

Team Secret started strong on Icebox, taking a 5-1 lead during their defensive half. Gambit struggled to win their duels and couldn’t hold their position against Secret. Despite some shoddy buys and an ace from Sheydos, Gambit was only able to win a few rounds, and Secret took an 8-4 lead into halftime.

Gambit won the second half pistol round and the subsequent anti-eco but fell in the bonus round and the first full buy. It seemed like Secret had figured out Gambit’s strategies and shockingly defeated the reigning champions 13-6 on Icebox.

Gambit quickly turned things around on Breeze, dominating with overwhelming attacks. nAts had two post-plant clutches in a row, highlighting Gambit’s dominant half. With a 12-0 lead, Gambit answered their previous loss as dominantly as possible, securing a 13-0 victory.

Bind became the deciding map, with both teams trading rounds back and forth. Another ace from nAts and a clutch transfer from Redgar gave Gambit a 7-5 lead at halftime. Gambit continued to distance themselves from Team Secret, winning rounds with solid site holds and securing a 13-6 victory.

Gambit can now focus on their next match against Team Vikings in the Group C winners match.
