G2 Esports Hires Dylan Falco as Head Coach for 2022 LEC Season
G2 Esports has brought on Dylan Falco, a veteran of the professional League of Legends scene, as the head coach for the 2022 LEC season. Falco’s hiring marks the first time G2 has filled the head coach position since 2018, when Fabian “GrabbZ” Lohmann served in the role before joining Team BDS this offseason.
Falco’s Background
Falco has an impressive track record in the esports industry. He joined Schalke 04 before the 2019 LEC season and led the team to three LEC playoff appearances during his tenure. In 2018, Falco coached Fnatic to the World finals. Now, he will have the opportunity to work with Caps, Fnatic’s former mid laner who joined G2 after the successful Worlds run.
Analyst Rodrigo Domingues Oliveira also Joins G2
G2 Esports has also added Rodrigo “Rodrigo” Domingues Oliveira, a former analyst from Schalke 04, to its coaching staff. Rodrigo and Falco have a history of working together, having collaborated closely from 2020 to 2021 on the Schalke coaching staff.
Coaching Debut and Season Kickoff
Falco will make his coaching debut with G2 when the LEC regular season begins on Jan. 14. Fans can expect exciting gameplay and strategy with Falco at the helm.
