Former Fnatic VALORANT star sets sights on Ascension in 2023 post-release

French VALORANT Player Enzo Mestari Leaves Fnatic, Becomes Unrestricted Free Agent

Enzo Mestari, a VALORANT player from France, has officially left Fnatic after spending two months on the bench. As of 2023, he is now an unrestricted free agent, as announced by the organization.

In March, Enzo joined Fnatic on loan from Alliance and participated in the VCT Masters One Reykjavík in April as a stand-in for Boaster’s team. He officially joined Fnatic in May and helped them achieve fourth place at the VCT Masters Two Copenhagen in July. In September, they also made it to the quarterfinals of the VALORANT Champions tournament. Notably, during his time with Fnatic, Enzo delivered an impressive ace against FunPlus Phoenix on Haven during the VCT EMEA Stage Two grand finals in June.

Enzo’s departure from Fnatic comes after the conclusion of the VALORANT Champions event, as the organization is rebuilding its roster for the upcoming franchising program in 2023. According to VLR.gg, Enzo achieved an average combat score (ACS) of 158.4 and an average damage per round (ADR) of 106.8 with his most-played agent, Fade, over the past three months.

Since being benched in September, Enzo has been actively seeking offers from other teams. With his contract with Fnatic now expired, he has the freedom to negotiate new deals. Enzo expressed his desire to win in a franchised league or make his way through Ascension, through a recent tweet.

Prior to joining Fnatic, Enzo played for Team HyP, Ninjas in Pyjamas, and Alliance. However, it may be challenging for him to secure a spot in one of the franchised leagues at this time, as most organizations in Europe and North America have already finalized their rosters for VCT 2023.
