Annoying VALORANT Error Code 7: What It Means and How to Fix It

Error code 7 has been associated with two different error messages in the past. One version states, “We are aware of issues with social panel and logins for some players. We are working on a fix. There was an error connecting to the platform, please restart your game client.” The other message simply states, “There was an error connecting to the platform. Please restart your game client.”

First and foremost, you should restart your game client by fully exiting out of the Riot client and reopening it. If the issue persists, here are some other solutions you can try.

Check the status of VALORANT and Riot’s servers. If you received the first message, there’s a good chance that other players are experiencing issues due to server overload or widespread connection problems.

Next, find out if your VALORANT account has been banned. If you’ve repeatedly engaged in behaviors like going AFK, queue dodging, or displaying bad in-game behavior, you may have received a ban or suspension. Check your connected email for a message from Riot that provides more information about your situation.

As a last resort, reinstall both VALORANT and the Vanguard anti-cheat client. A clean reinstallation can help resolve the issue.
