Get Ready for Another Exciting Year of VALORANT Esports in North America
The VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) is set to return in 2022 with a similar structure, promising thrilling professional competition for fans in North America.
Starting on January 27, the VCT 2022 NA Stage One Challengers will kick off with a 128-team open qualifier. The top 12 teams from the qualifier will advance to the main event, featuring seven weeks of intense gameplay.
In a round-robin format, the main event begins on February 11 and lasts for the first five weeks. The following two weeks will then feature double-elimination playoffs to determine which teams will represent the NA region in the Stage One Masters tournament. Circuit points will also be awarded based on team performances. The Stage One Masters event will take place in April at a location yet to be announced.
In May, the Stage Two Challengers will begin, following a similar format to Stage One. An open qualifier will give teams a chance to compete, and a closed qualifier will take place from May 13 to June 26. This will be the final opportunity for teams to secure their spot in the second Masters event of the year.
The Stage Two Masters is scheduled for July and will be the second chance for the best teams worldwide to showcase their skills. The winner of this event will earn a spot at the 2022 Champions event and a share of the prize pool. The location for this event has not yet been disclosed.
In August, North American teams will have one last chance to qualify for the 2022 VALORANT Champions event through the NA Last Chance Qualifier. Teams will be invited based on their circuit points. The highly anticipated VALORANT Champions event is scheduled for September 2022 and will bring together the top VALORANT teams in the biggest tournament of the year.
VALORANT Game Changers fans can also look forward to exciting competitions throughout 2022. Here’s the schedule for the Game Changers events:
