New VALORANT Agent KAY/O’s Frag Grenade Counters Killjoy’s Ultimate on Ascent
Popular streamer Average Jonas has discovered a clever counter to Killjoy’s ultimate ability on Ascent using KAY/O’s frag grenade.
KAY/O is the latest agent in VALORANT and comes with a flash and frag grenade that are perfect for blinding or damaging enemies from a distance. Players can strategically utilize KAY/O to help their teammates push into sites or weaken opponents. And now, players have already found ways to counter other agent abilities with KAY/O’s tools.
Average Jonas has discovered a brilliant line-up with KAY/O on Ascent’s A site that effectively counters Killjoy’s ultimate ability. Killjoy players usually activate her Lockdown ability in the grassy area between Mid and A site, which detains all players within the site. However, by throwing KAY/O’s grenade into the air from the corner near Generator on A site, players can disable the Lockdown and prevent their team from being detained.
This counter requires some timing as players need to throw the grenade correctly for it to land on the ultimate. However, mastering this line-up can significantly impact crucial rounds. It is advisable to practice the line-up in a custom match before attempting it in a live game to avoid giving easy kills to opponents.
