Player Card in VALORANT’s Episode 3 Battle Pass Hints at a Potential New Map

VALORANT Episode Three Battle Pass Teases Possible New Map

The upcoming release of VALORANT’s Episode Three: Reflection brings excitement to players, as the battle pass may contain hints about future content. In previous seasons, Riot developers have hidden teasers and Easter eggs in the battle pass that foreshadow upcoming agents or maps. A player card in Episode Three’s battle pass has caught the attention of lore enthusiast Cynprel, suggesting that it could be a teaser for a new map.

Cynprel, known for their in-depth analysis of VALORANT lore, broke down the tier-42 player card called “Testing Grounds.” The player card showcases an arid landscape that appears to be located in a remote area. Cynprel theorizes that this could be a teaser for an upcoming map.

Cynprel’s analysis highlights that the landscape featured on the player card resembles a desert, specifically a Southwestern US landscape. They also identified a radianite hazard symbol, suggesting the presence of the energy source in this location. Additionally, there is a floating triangle in front of a plateau in the background, possibly indicating a radianite island similar to Ascent. This location could potentially become a battleground for mirror agents.

It’s important to note that Breeze was the last map released in Episode Two, Act Three. Riot chose to focus on the map’s release instead of introducing a new agent. Breeze was teased throughout the act, even hinted at in the Lost at Sea? player card, which depicted a cargo ship surrounded by smaller boats, likely heading towards Breeze.

Although Riot has yet to confirm any of this information, it is worth mentioning that they typically release a new map in each episode. While Episode Three, Act One may not introduce a new map, it’s possible that Riot will release one in the following act.
