World of Warcraft hotfix pledges to reduce wait times

Hotfix Released to Fix Long Queue Times in WoW Classic

The launch of WoW Classic has been incredibly popular, leading to high demand and long queue times on Blizzard’s servers. To address this issue, developers have released a hotfix that aims to increase the number of players who can log in and play simultaneously.

Blizzard announced the hotfix on Twitter, stating that it will result in smaller queues for popular realms. The fix is being deployed across all WoW Classic realms. The exact number of additional players allowed in and the time frame for implementation have not been specified.

The release of this hotfix follows complaints from the WoW community about the inability to fully enjoy the Vanilla experience due to the long queue times, which have hindered their progress to level 60.

Popular streamer Zach “Asmongold” experienced a queue time of about four hours, being the 20,083rd player in line. This issue arose as a result of many users attempting to log in simultaneously. Some players reported queue times as long as eight hours.

North American players can check the server status for WoW Classic here. For retail WoW issues, server status can be checked here.
