Dr Disrespect stays put: $10m offer fails to tempt him into Kick streaming

Dr. Disrespect turns down a $10 million offer to join Kick

Dr Disrespect, a YouTube sensation, reportedly snubbed a lucrative $10 million offer from Kick to join their streaming network.

Details about the Offer

During his May 29 webcast, Dr. Disrespect revealed that Kick had approached him with a $10 million annual contract offer. The offer came with the proviso that he not host any gambling-related shows.

The $50 Million Demand

However, Dr. Disrespect declined the offer, indicating that he would only entertain a $50 million agreement. He highlighted that his decision was not primarily motivated by money, but by the strong community he has developed on YouTube.

Building Momentum on YouTube

Dr Disrespect emphasized the success he has achieved on YouTube, as proven by his growing community and profitable projects such as his Black Steel Bourbon company and the imminent release of his AAA game, DEADROP.

He repeated that his YouTube audience is too valuable to give up for a cash influx, as he values the success and stability it provides him.

Dr. Disrespect strongly opposed the initial $10 million offer, but he did express gratitude for Kick’s concern and humility in the matter.

No Immediate Switch to Kick.

This public talk of potential platform switches comes just after Kick’s strategic supervisor, Andrew Santamaria, stated that Dr Disrespect would “probably not” join their platform anytime soon. Santamaria claimed in a tweet that Dr Disrespect had wanted $50 million when Kick signed xQc, but that they needed to be realistic in their proposals.

Kick had previously made substantial additions, including popular Twitch personalities such as Amouranth and xQc, but their recent acquisitions have stalled.
