Introducing Overwatch 2’s Mirrorwatch Season: A Fun Flip-Flop of Heroes and Villains
In the highly anticipated new season of Overwatch 2, aptly named “Venture Forth,” players will be treated to a unique event called Mirrorwatch. This special event completely flips the script by swapping the roles of heroes and villains in the Overwatch universe.
Season 10, which kicks off next week, will introduce players to a thrilling Mythic skin for Mercy called Vengeance. However, it is the Mirrorwatch event, starting on April 23, that truly turns the world of Overwatch on its head in a fun and exciting way.
In the captivating reveal trailer, several confirmed skins for the Mirrorwatch event were showcased. Sombra, Widowmaker, and Doomfist adopt the roles of Overwatch agents, while Tracer, Brigitte, Sojourn, Ana, and Reinhardt embrace their inner Talon baddies. The highlight of the event undoubtedly is the incredible Mythic skin for Mercy, featuring various color schemes, armor patterns, and customization options, including stunning blue-and-white and purple-and-black variations.
Not only do the heroes’ appearances undergo a dramatic change, but their abilities are reimagined as well during the Mirrorwatch event. For instance, Mercy can be seen unleashing powerful blasts from her Caduceus Staff, while Doomfist wields a shield similar to Reinhardt’s. The limited-time event promises a refreshing twist on gameplay, adding to the overall excitement.
The Mirrorwatch event also brings an array of new skins to Overwatch 2. Apart from the ones showcased in the trailer, players can anticipate exciting new looks for fan-favorite heroes like Symmetra and Baptiste. Additionally, the event teases the ability to unlock previous Mythic skins in the shop, providing players with even more customization options. Accompanying the new season of Overwatch 2 is the arrival of the damage hero Venture. This season also introduces Hanaoka, a brand new map that offers a reimagined version of Hanamura.
