Xerxe rumored to become Immortals’ starting jungler for 2021

Xerxe Signs with Immortals as Starting Jungler

Xerxe, the former jungler for Origen in the LEC, may be making a move to the United States for the 2021 season. According to esports journalist Jacob Wolf, the 21-year-old has agreed to join Immortals as their starting jungler.

Origen’s Struggles in 2020

This news comes after a disappointing year for Origen. While they started off strong and made it to the Spring Split playoffs with a 13-5 record, they were eventually eliminated by G2 Esports. Despite hopes for a successful summer, Origen finished last with a 6-12 record.

Subpar Performance for Xerxe

Xerxe also had a challenging season, according to Oracle’s Elixir. He had a low number of kills, a 2.9 KDA, negative early-game stats, and low damage numbers. His performance did not meet expectations.

Possible Departure for Xmithie

Reports suggest that Immortals may be parting ways with their longtime NA jungler Xmithie. Xmithie, the oldest active player in the LCS, has won six LCS championships with teams like CLG and Team Liquid. If this happens, he would become a highly sought-after free agent.

The global free agency period will begin on November 16.
