League of Legends players who enjoy delving into the game’s lore are in for a treat with a new event that rewards their background knowledge. This event introduces one new mystery champion to guess every day based on quotes.
How to Participate
To participate in this event, players must guess the champion targeted by the quotes and play as them in one game to earn the reward.
Every day since January 10, players have had the opportunity to guess more champions, with January 18 being the most recent addition to the list.
Today’s Mystery Champion: “I will become what I must be”
This quote may bring countless champions to players’ minds. It signifies a champion who is on a mission, whether it be saving their tribe or cleansing lands from evil.
In this case, the quote refers to Yorick, the Shepherd of Souls. Yorick utters this voice line when he makes the first move in a game, as a response to someone saying, “Yorick, look what you’ve become…”
By playing a game as Yorick or with an ally, players will receive a Hextech Chest, a Yorick champion shard, and a Key for finding the champion of the day.
