SK Telecom T1 dominates Jin Air Green Wings in opening match of 2019 LCK Spring Split with a 2-0 victory

LCK Returns with a victory for SK Telecom T1

The LCK has made its much-awaited return in 2019, and what better way to kick off the new season than with a 2-0 win by the new dream team, SK Telecom T1.

Teddy beats former team

Teddy, SKT’s new AD carry, faced his previous organization, Jin Air Green Wings, with mixed emotions. In a post-game interview, Teddy expressed both happiness and sadness about beating his former team.

SKT jungler Clid unsatisfied despite victory

Despite their 2-0 victory, both Teddy and SKT jungler Clid felt unsatisfied with their performance. Clid pointed out that he got caught out several times in the second game, attributing it to lack of awareness and nerves.

Clid’s stellar performance in game one

However, Clid redeemed himself with an outstanding performance in the first game, especially with his infamous Lee Sin pick. Jin Air had no answer to Clid’s Lee Sin as he landed almost every Sonic Wave.

SKT’s mid-game dominance secures victory

While SKT faced some challenges in the early game, Jin Air managed to find many kills during the laning phase. However, SKT turned things around during mid-game team fights, with Teddy shining by decimating the entire enemy team. Teddy’s exceptional performance earned him the MVP award for game two, with an 83-percent kill participation.

Clid and Teddy’s experience with SKT

As the newest additions to SKT, Clid and Teddy have now played and won their first match with the organization since joining in November. They also shared their insights on their teammate, Faker, and his love for puns. Both players were surprised by Faker’s sense of humor, finding his jokes to be rather odd and unfunny.

Next up: Afreeca Freecs

Looking ahead, SKT will be preparing for their next match against Afreeca Freecs, scheduled for January 18th.
