ROCCAT convincingly defeats Misfits once again, securing fifth place

EU LCS Week Kicks Off with Ties and Playoff Hopes

The EU LCS started this week with multiple ties in the standings as teams battle it out for playoff spots. In the final week of the regular split, these ties need to be broken for teams to secure their spot in the playoffs.

ROCCAT took the lead today by defeating Misfits and breaking the tie for fifth place. This win brings them one step closer to securing a spot in the playoffs. However, Misfits’ chances of making it to the playoffs are slim as they only have one more game to play and they need the three other teams tied for sixth place to lose.

Today’s game between ROCCAT and Misfits was similar to their previous encounter this season. ROCCAT had a late-game focused team composition, so their weakness was in the early game. However, they managed to not only survive but dominate the early game by making better decisions and rotations across the map compared to Misfits.

On the other hand, Misfits looked out-of-sync and made predictable decisions, allowing ROCCAT to catch them off guard and take advantage of their late-game composition much earlier than expected. The mid laner, Chres “Sencux” Laursen, was the biggest offender, repeatedly dying after being caught in ROCCAT’s jungle early on. He ended the game with the most deaths on the team.

ROCCAT secured the Baron after a fight in the enemy jungle, showcasing their almost flawless gameplay up to that point. This victory puts them in a good position, as they don’t necessarily need to win another game as long as Giants lose both of their matches this weekend. However, another win against H2k tomorrow would certainly boost their chances.

It’s an intense week in the EU LCS as teams fight to break ties and secure playoff spots. Stay tuned for more updates.
