Riot’s Possible Creation of an URF-Inspired Dragon for Summoner’s Rift

League of Legends Teases the Return of URF Mode with a New Twist

League of Legends players have been eagerly awaiting the return of the popular Ultra Rapid Fire (URF) game mode. And it seems their patience may pay off soon. In a recent tweet from Riot game designer Stephen “Riot Mort” Mortimer, a new and exciting development was teased.

The tweet showcased a massive URF dragon, a never-before-seen addition to the game mode. This URF dragon, similar to the elemental dragons, has the potential to bring a whole new level of excitement. Take a look at this colossal creature:

There are a few intriguing aspects to this URF dragon. First, the addition of a URF crown and a spatula tail to such a fearsome creature adds a humorous touch. But there are other hints that suggest this dragon could be incredibly powerful.

The modified Elder Dragon design indicates that the URF dragon could be a force to be reckoned with. If included in the URF game mode, it’s likely the dragon would possess immense power. This decision by Riot may have been influenced by the need to have a stronger adversary in a game mode that emphasizes high damage output. Alternatively, there could be other factors at play.

An interesting detail is the wall next to the dragon, which shows symbols for all the elements. This suggests that the URF dragon may grant a team boosts from each of the elemental dragons all at once. Such a buff would significantly impact gameplay, making it more challenging for the enemy team to counter. However, considering the existing difficulty of facing the Elder Dragon, the URF dragon’s buff may not be completely overwhelming.

Regardless, it’s safe to say that the League of Legends community is eagerly hoping for the return of URF mode, even if the spatula-dragon isn’t part of the initial release.
