Riot Games Consolidates Broadcast Side of Esports Empire

Riot Games is consolidating the broadcast side of their esports empire, bringing together the top League of Legends competitions in Korea and China to air in English on LoL Esports. This move will also encompass the League Championship Series.

Partnership with OnGameNet and In-house Broadcast Team

One of the world’s biggest esports organizations, Riot Games, will be collaborating with Korean broadcaster OnGameNet to provide English broadcasts of the League of Legends Champions league on the Riot website. Additionally, Riot will establish an in-house broadcast team to livestream LoL Pro League matches from China. This confirms a recent report by the Daily Dot.

Addressing Concerns about LPLen

Riot has directly addressed concerns about the discontinuation of community initiative LPLen due to this move. Riot clarified that they are still exploring opportunities to collaborate with the LPLen team in the future. Currently, the only confirmed member of the Riot Games LPL broadcast is Max “Atlus” Anderson, known for his work in the Oceanic Pro League.
