Riot acknowledges they went too far with Aurelion Sol buffs but still believes he’s improved in LoL Patch 14.3

Riot Games Reverts Aurelion Sol Changes After Overshooting Balance

Riot Games has rolled back most of the buffs given to Aurelion Sol in Patch 14.3 after realizing they made him too strong early in the game. Lead designers Phroxzon and Phreak have both apologized for the oversight and admitted their mistake.

A History of Changes for Aurelion Sol

Aurelion Sol has been the subject of many changes in an effort to improve his gameplay. However, his recent buffs in Patch 14.3 turned out to be a disaster. His Q and W abilities were given reduced mana costs, increased damage, and shorter cooldowns. Now, Riot Games has decided to revert some of these changes, with Phroxzon and Phreak taking the blame for the imbalance. They addressed the issue in detail on X and YouTube, acknowledging their error. “We overshot on balance and we own that,” Phroxzon tweeted on Feb. 9.
