LCS Veteran Darshan Announces Retirement from Competitive LoL and Unveils Future Endeavors

Darshan, a Renowned North American League of Legends Pro, Retires from Competitive Gaming

Darshan, one of the most well-known professional League of Legends players in North America, announced his retirement from competitive gaming on November 13. In a video posted on social media, Darshan explained that he no longer has the motivation to continue playing professionally. Instead, he plans to pursue content creation in his passions, which include music, dance, and art.

“I’m done playing, or even coaching, or doing anything League of Legends-related… The main motivation to keep playing died out,” Darshan stated. “What really motivates me now is to share all of myself with the community and the world. I also love music, dance, and art, and I believe there’s so much content I can create.”

While it’s unclear what specific form Darshan’s future endeavors will take, he is clearly motivated to create content. This marks the end of an era in League of Legends, as Darshan, formerly known as ZionSpartan, had been active in the North American scene since early 2012. He gained recognition while playing for Team Coast and Dignitas in 2014 before spending almost five years with CLG.

Recognition in the NA Scene

With two LCS titles, two Worlds appearances, and a second-place finish at the Mid-Season Invitational in 2016, Darshan has solidified his place in the NA scene. His achievements will be remembered for years to come as he played a significant role in the League of Legends community.
