KINGZONE DragonX’s Bdd and Khan become free agents

KINGZONE DragonX’s Solo Laners Enter Free Agency

KINGZONE DragonX has announced via Twitter that their solo laners, Kim “Khan” Dong-ha and Gwak “Bdd” Bo-seong, have entered free agency.

KINGZONE stated in a simple tweet that Khan and Bdd’s contracts have ended and they have become free agents.

However, negotiations for the 2019 season are still ongoing between KINGZONE and Bdd and Khan, according to Korean publication FOMOS.

Khan and Bdd joined KINGZONE, formerly known as Longzhu Gaming, in the 2017 Summer Split. Bdd had previously spent the entire 2017 Spring Split on Longzhu’s bench, while Khan was a substitute top laner for Qiao Gu Reapers.

With the addition of Khan and Bdd, along with jungler Moon “Cuzz” Woo-chan, KINGZONE saw an improvement in performance, winning the next two LCK splits. However, their dominance in the LCK waned after placing second in the 2018 Mid Seasonal Invitational.

KINGZONE faced setbacks in the 2018 Summer Split, losing to Afreeca Freecs in the quarterfinals and later being defeated by Gen.G in the LCK World Championship Regional Qualifier.

The only remaining players on KINGZONE’s roster who have not declared free agency are Cuzz and top laner Kim “Rascal” Kwang-hee. It is currently unknown if Rascal and Cuzz have re-signed with KINGZONE for the 2019 season.
