Golden Guardians completes its 2019 NA LCS starting roster by signing Froggen

Froggen Returns to NA LCS as Golden Guardians Mid Laner

After a year away from competitive play, Henrik “Froggen” Hansen is set to make his NA LCS comeback in 2019 as the starting mid laner for Golden Guardians. This completes Golden Guardians’ roster for the 2019 NA LCS Spring Split, with Froggen joining Kevin “Hauntzer” Yarnell, Kim “Olleh” Joo-sung, Matthew “Deftly” Chen, and Juan “Contractz” Arturo Garcia.

Froggen’s Quasi-Return with Origen

Froggen’s return to competitive play began in April, when he joined a special Origen roster for the European Masters tournament. The team included notable players like Konstantinos-Napoleon “FORG1VEN” Tzortziou and Choi “inSec” In-seok. They went on to win the European Masters, defeating Illuminar Gaming with a 3-0 sweep.

Golden Guardians Seeking Redemption

The addition of Froggen, Hauntzer, Olleh, and former Echo Fox head coach Nick “Inero” Smith to Golden Guardians’ team comes after a disappointing 2018 season. As a new organization in the NA LCS, Golden Guardians finished in last place two seasons in a row. With their revamped roster, they hope to turn their fortunes around in the upcoming season.
