FlyQuest’s Jensen experiences a complete change of heart regarding Faker

Faker and Jensen: A Rivalry Rooted in League of Legends

In the realm of League of Legends, there exists a fierce rivalry between Faker and Jensen, two skilled players who have clashed numerous times in the mid lane. Unfortunately for Jensen, Faker has emerged as the dominant force in these encounters, emerging victorious in all ten of their recent matches.

The rivalry began with a now-infamous tweet from Jensen back in 2016. Before facing Faker, Jensen confidently proclaimed, “can’t wait to clap faker :D.” Little did he know, this prediction would not age well. In a stunning display of skill, T1 decimated FlyQuest in record time, securing the fastest ever international best-of-3 victory at the 2024 Mid-Season Invitational in Chengdu, China.

Jensen, FlyQuest’s current mid laner, recently discussed the rivalry in an interview with PentaQ Esports. Reflecting on his encounters with Faker, Jensen expressed frustration at the consistent outcome. “I played against Faker many times but the results seem to always be the same,” he admitted. He also acknowledged the historic dominance of Korean and Chinese teams in comparison to their Western counterparts.

Despite Jensen’s belief that the gap between Eastern and Western teams has narrowed, T1’s performance at the Mid-Season Invitational showcased their unrivaled expertise. As Jensen aptly summarized, “I guess they are just really good.”

Adding to the frustration for Jensen is the fact that he and Faker share similar champion preferences. Jensen’s most-played champion is Orianna, with an impressive win rate of 74.3 percent in 101 matches. Azir is his second-most played champion. For Faker, Azir holds the top spot with 161 matches, boasting a win rate of 67.1 percent, while Orianna follows closely behind.

As the days go by, the gap between Faker and Jensen continues to widen. Western teams are still searching for the secret to defeating their Eastern counterparts, but for now, Faker remains the undisputed ruler of the mid lane.
