First Impressions: Team Liquid

Team Liquid: From Fourth Place to Potential Worlds Contenders

Team Liquid, formerly known as Curse, has transformed from a team that consistently fell short to a team that is now hyped as a potential number one contender in North America. This transformation was made possible with the addition of Piglet, a former player from SKT T1, and the mechanically skilled mid laner Fenix. Alongside them is the support player Xpecial and the coach PtotheD, formerly from LMQ (Now TiP).

The newly formed bot lane of Piglet and Xpecial has already made an impact, leaving a strong impression on their opponents. In their first match of the LCS split, they had a great performance against TiP, with KeithMCBrief, a substitute player from Liquid Academy, showing his potential with an impressive debut. In their latest game against Counter Logic Gaming, Keith continued to shine with a high KDA, proving his worth as a substitute ADC. Xpecial also played a key role in Team Liquid’s success, showcasing his dominance as a top North American support player.

Fenix, the successor to the iconic Voyboy, has shown his versatility as a mid laner, excelling in both utility and mechanical champions. He had a great showing against TiP’s XiaoWeiXiao and CLG’s Link, proving that he can fill the shoes left by Voyboy and be a valuable mid laner for the team.

Quas, the top laner for Team Liquid, has already established himself as one of the best top laners in the North American LCS. He has shown his ability to adapt to different champion meta and play both carry and tank roles effectively. With his solid performances in the first week of the split, it is clear that Quas will continue to be a reliable presence in the top lane for Team Liquid.

Lastly, IWillDominate, known for his aggressive playstyle, has shown great consistency in his performance in the first week of the split. His aggressive jungle play has been instrumental in Team Liquid’s victories, and if he can maintain this level of play, he may become one of the top junglers in the NA LCS.

Team Liquid’s Potential

With the addition of new talent and the strong performances from their players, Team Liquid has the potential to be a top team in North America. Their impressive bot lane, aggressive jungler, talented mid laner, and reliable top laner make them a team to watch out for in the upcoming year. Only time will tell how they will fare this split, but one thing is for sure – Team Liquid has the makings of a World’s caliber team.
