Faker falls behind other star players in one notable LoL accomplishment despite his 4 Worlds titles

Faker: A Legend in League of Legends Esports

There’s no doubt that Faker is the undisputed GOAT in League of Legends esports. He recently secured his fourth Worlds victory with T1 on Nov. 19, cementing his legacy as one of the greatest players in the game.

Despite his many accolades, Faker still lags behind in one milestone. Throughout his 11-year career, he has only managed to secure one pentakill. This was pointed out by a fan on Reddit, who highlighted that Faker achieved this feat during the SBENU Champions Spring 2015. According to Leaguepedia, he accomplished the pentakill using LeBlanc against NaJin e-mFire.

In 2015, Faker was part of the Worlds winning roster alongside players like Bengi, MaRin, Bang, and Wolf. They achieved victory in the 2015 League of Legends World Championship. Faker repeated this feat the following year, securing his third triumph at Worlds. However, he experienced a seven-year drought before his recent win.

When it comes to pentakills in competitive League, Faker’s performance is considered subpar. Players like Doublelift and Rekkles have 10 pentakills each, with Ruler scoring nine, and GALA and Uzi sitting at seven, according to Leaguepedia. Celebrity, a player from the Vietnamese and South-Asian region, tops the scoreboard with 11 pentakills.

Despite his low pentakill count, Faker’s impact on T1’s success cannot be overlooked. With his invaluable contributions and four Summoner’s Cups, he remains a legendary figure in League of Legends esports.
