Excel Esports Partners with BT for Multi-Year Sponsorship

BT, one of the UK’s leading telecommunications companies, has announced a multi-year sponsorship with Excel Esports just before the 2020 LEC Spring Split.

As part of this partnership, BT will become the lead partner for Excel and their logo will be prominently displayed on all of the team’s League of Legends jerseys. Additionally, the team’s Academy squad has been officially renamed to BT Excel for the upcoming UK League Championship.

Excel’s new Chief Commercial Officer, Robin McCammon, is thrilled about the partnership, seeing it as a testament to the strength of the UK esports industry and Excel’s growth.

New Jerseys to Debut at 2020 Neosurf Cup

The newly branded jerseys will first be showcased at the 2020 Neosurf Cup, taking place at the Twickenham Arena in London. On Sunday, Jan. 12, Excel, Misfits Gaming, and LG Direwolves will compete, giving fans a glimpse of the teams’ new rosters. You can also purchase these jerseys today on the Excel Esports website.

Exciting Changes for 2020

Heading into 2020, Excel Esports will have a new head coach, Joey “YoungBuck” Steltenpool, and several new players on their starting lineup. Fans can look forward to the start of the 2020 LEC Spring Split on Friday, Jan. 24.
