Invictus Gaming Reveals 2020 LPL Roster, No Sign of JackeyLove
Invictus Gaming (IG), the former League of Legends world champion, has unveiled its full 2020 LPL roster, but one key player is conspicuously missing—Yu “JackeyLove” Wen-Bo.
JackeyLove played a crucial role in IG’s success during the 2019 LPL spring and summer seasons. Despite a mid-year slump, he helped carry the team to Worlds with his stellar performance as the team’s AD carry.
However, after their victory at Worlds in 2018, IG’s performance declined, resulting in a disappointing finish at the MSI tournament and an eighth-place finish in the summer season.
Without JackeyLove’s exceptional playmaking, the team may not have made it to Worlds in 2019. Although they made it to the semifinals, they were ultimately defeated by FunPlus Phoenix.
As of today’s announcement, it seems JackeyLove will no longer be a part of the 2018 Worlds winning roster. He will be replaced by rookie Ding “Puff” Wang.
The reasons behind JackeyLove’s departure from IG remain unknown, but rumors suggest he may be joining rival team Royal Never Give Up, where he will be sharing playing time with Jian “Uzi” Zi-Hao and Lu “Betty” Yu-Hung.
All things considered, this situation appears to be a lose-lose for both IG and JackeyLove.
