EDward Gaming Continues Dominance with 2-0 Victory over LGD Gaming
EDward Gaming (EDG) showcased their dominance in the 2021 LPL Summer Split, defeating LGD Gaming in a quick 2-0 series.
Impressive Performance by EDG
Although LGD Gaming had performed well in their recent series, they were no match for the leading team in the standings. EDG has only lost three matches throughout the entire split, showcasing their strength and consistency. The addition of Flandre and Viper during the offseason has proven to be highly successful, as both players have been leading their roles in the Spring and Summer Splits.
Star Players Shine
In this series, the MVP votes went to EDG’s mid-laner Scout and jungler Jiejie. Both players displayed exceptional skill, easily dismantling their opponents. Scout’s performance on Lee Sin in the first game was instrumental in EDG’s victory, despite falling behind early on. In the second match, Jiejie’s aggressive plays on Xin Zhao secured significant advantages for his team. Their impressive performances led to a well-deserved win for EDG.

Tough Challenge Ahead for EDG
Next, EDG will face Royal Never Give Up (RNG), who won the MSI tournament but has struggled in the Summer Split. The meta change has posed challenges for RNG, while EDG has seamlessly adapted. With their star players performing exceptionally, EDG is poised for another victory.
