Aphromoo’s Journey: From AD Carry to Supporting Doublelift

Counter Logic Gaming’s Aphromoo: From AD Carry to Star Support

Zaqueri “Aphromoo” Black of Counter Logic Gaming used to be an AD Carry before becoming a playmaking support. In Season 2, Aphromoo struggled on LANs but eventually found success in the LCS, consistently making impactful plays for CLG.

The Beginning

Aphromoo’s first PC game was Diablo II, followed by World of Warcraft, where he competed at Blizzcon in PvP. Dissatisfied with WoW’s PvP system, Aphromoo made the switch to League of Legends.

v8 AD Carry

Aphromoo joined v8 eSports as their starting AD Carry in Season 2. The team’s performance was lackluster in tournaments like IPL 3 and IEM VI: New York. Aphromoo left the team after IPL 4.

Epik TSM

Aphromoo joined Epik Gamer, later known as TSM.Evo, alongside players like Doublelift and Dan Dinh. The team had some success, placing 1st in the IPL 5 NA qualifier and taking 2nd at the Reign of Gaming International Invitational.

Pre-Vulcun

Aphromoo joined mTw.NA, then Monomaniac Ferus, before finally joining Team FeaR. The team participated in tournaments like IPL 5, but struggled to find success.

A month later, Aphromoo joined Counter Logic Gaming as their support player.

Rush Hour 1

Teaming up with Doublelift, Aphromoo faced high expectations. CLG had internal issues and struggled in the playoffs, but managed to avoid relegation in their first LCS split.

Rush Hour 2

CLG failed to qualify for the Season 3 World Championship and needed a new support player. Aphromoo joined the team and performed well, helping CLG reach their highest LCS playoff placing to date.

Not Again

CLG faced difficulties in the Summer Split, leading to a poor playoff performance and relegation scares. The team managed to avoid relegation but had to make changes to improve.

Counter Logic Gaming: 2015 Edition

CLG made roster changes for the 2015 season, bringing in Xmithie and ZionSpartan. The team performed well in the regular season but struggled in the playoffs, unable to secure a Top 2 position.

CLG made coaching changes as well, with scarra stepping down. The team faced recurring struggles in the playoffs, with Aphromoo’s performance declining and internal issues affecting the team’s success.

The Notorious P.O.B.

CLG replaced Link with Pobelter and brought in a new coach, Blurred Limes. Under their guidance, the team had a strong performance in the regular season, finishing in second place.

CLG will now compete in the LCS semifinals, hoping to achieve their best placement yet.
