Svenska Spel Announces Changes to Group Management

Svenska Spel, the renowned gaming company, has revealed updates to its group management team. Mikael Franzén, the current IT director, will now lead the new group function called Gaming Responsibility & Data-Driven Transformation. On the other hand, Lovisa Ekman, who previously served as the Head of Corporate IT at Svenska Spel, will take over as the new Head of IT. Both will assume their new roles on April 1.

In recent months, Svenska Spel has been focused on future-proofing the company through assessments of its organization, working practices, and expenses to foster growth. As of April 1, a new organizational structure will be implemented, including the introduction of a new group function.

These modifications also involve changes to the group management team, aimed at bolstering Svenska Spel’s leading position in promoting responsible gambling, enhancing data-driven decision-making capabilities across the organization, and continuing investments in information technology and technology.

Mikael Franzén, who has served as IT director at Svenska Spel since 2019, will assume the position of Head of Gaming Responsibility & Data-Driven Transformation. Meanwhile, Lovisa Ekman, who has been with Svenska Spel since 2018 and most recently served as Head of Corporate IT, will become the new Head of IT.
