Flutter Entertainment Plc launched the Flutter Foundation in Ceuta to improve people’s lives

The Flutter Foundation was officially established in Ceuta, Spain, with the assistance of Flutter Entertainment Plc. This foundation is the first of its kind in the world, and it intends to enhance the lives of ten million people by 2030. The foundation’s efforts are focused on tackling inequities, fostering education, entrepreneurship, technological development, sports, and employability.

Positive Impact Plan for Global Sustainability

The Flutter Foundation was established as part of the company’s Positive Impact Plan, a global sustainability strategy. This initiative, launched in 2022, aims to favorably influence 10 million lives by 2030. By the end of 2023, Flutter has already helped 1.5 million people.

Agreements on Community Development in Ceuta

The Flutter Foundation signed two agreements in Ceuta to benefit the community. The first agreement aims to empower underprivileged families and promote gender equality in scientific careers by providing scholarships for STEM-related studies. The second agreement sets a framework for collaboration with the Ceuta government to explore projects to improve the city’s inclusivity and quality of life.

Support from Political and Business Leaders

Several Ceuta-based political and commercial heavyweights attended the opening ceremony to demonstrate their support for the Flutter Foundation. Among those present were the Hon. President of the Autonomous City, Juan Jesús Vivas Lara, Cristina Pérez Valero, the envoy of the Government of Spain in Ceuta, and Kissy Chandiramani, the Minister of Finance, Economic Transition, and Digital Transformation of the Government of Ceuta.

Dan Taylor, CEO of Flutter International, stressed the Foundation’s role in positively impacting the community. The Autonomous City of Ceuta’s President, Juan Jesús Vivas Lara, pledged support for the Foundation’s community development efforts.

The Flutter Foundation, directed by President Elisa Miguel Fonseca, has a clear mission: to work directly with underserved groups to achieve meaningful and long-term change in Ceuta, and eventually throughout Spain. The Foundation’s initial concentration on Ceuta will progressively extend to benefit more people in different places.
