Rockstar Abandons Social Club Name as GTA 6 Announcement Nears

Rockstar Social Club Rebrands Ahead of GTA 6 Reveal

Rockstar Games appears to be rebranding its Rockstar Social Club platform as it prepares to reveal its highly anticipated game, Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6). According to PC Gamer, all references to Rockstar Social Club have disappeared from the official Rockstar Games website. The Social Club logos have been replaced with the Rockstar logo, and the website text has been reworded. The new wording now refers to the platform as the “Rockstar Games Platform” and invites players to join over 200 million Rockstar Games members worldwide.

Changes to Rockstar Social Club

The Rockstar Social Club was originally launched in 2009 alongside the console release of Grand Theft Auto IV. It served as a website for connecting with multiple Rockstar games and offered features such as player stats and contests. The platform was popular among players of major titles such as Red Dead Redemption 2, Max Payne 3, and GTA Online.

Rumors of a GTA 6 Connection

The rebranding of Rockstar Social Club has sparked speculation that Rockstar Games may unveil a new version of the platform alongside the reveal of GTA 6. The timing of this rebranding aligns with Rockstar’s plan to reveal the next Grand Theft Auto game in December, possibly during Geoff Keighly’s Game Awards show. Fans are eagerly waiting to see what Rockstar has in store for them.
