Fortnite Season eight reveals new challenges
Fortnite: Battle Royale’s season eight has introduced a fresh set of challenges for players to conquer. In week eight, one of the free challenges requires players to search specific locations on a treasure map. However, this time the clue is not provided in the loading screen. Players must find the map itself and then search the corresponding area indicated on the map. The map is located on a signpost in Paradise Palms, which is the starting point for this challenge.
Where to find the map signpost and the “X”
In order to complete this challenge, players can choose any game mode except for Playground. To ensure safety and increase their chances of success, it is recommended to try this challenge in a big-team mode like Food Fight or Team Rumble. These modes provide a greater level of protection against opponents who may try to eliminate players while they are searching for the map or the “X”.

It’s important to note that each stage of the challenge must be completed in separate matches. It is not possible to fulfill both stages in a single game, as it is a progressive challenge.
Map signpost location
The map signpost can be found in an alley situated between two buildings in the center of Paradise Palms. On the mini-map, it is located just above the letter “I” in the word “Paradise.”
Search the “X”
The location where players need to search is at the southwest end of the runway in Frost Flights.
Once players interact with the item, they will receive five Battle Stars as a reward for completing the challenge.
