Fortnite’s Ruin skin is currently accessible

Ruin Outfit now Available to All Fortnite Players

All Fortnite players who own the season eight premium Battle Pass now have the opportunity to unlock the season-exclusive Ruin outfit. With the release of the week eight challenges, there are now a total of 56 weekly challenges available this season, one more than necessary to unlock Ruin.

Unlocking Ruin also grants players special challenges that reward them with the character’s back bling and pickaxe.

Ruin is a special outfit that can only be unlocked from today until May 8, the end of season eight. It is part of this season’s Discovery set of challenges. Players who complete any 55 weekly challenges will permanently add Ruin to their Locker. It’s important to note that once the season ends, the opportunity to obtain the skin will likely never return, as previous season-exclusive skins have never been reintroduced to the game in any way.

Players without the premium Battle Pass are unable to unlock Ruin. Throughout the entire season, they can only complete 30 weekly challenges, as there are only three free challenges available each week. However, players who purchase the premium pass at any time can unlock the premium challenges and attempt to complete them quickly in order to obtain Ruin.

Until now, it remains unclear if Ruin is connected to the season eight lore. As season nine approaches, we may gather more information about Ruin’s influence over the Fortnite island, if there is any, and its relation to the giant metal hatch that appeared in Loot Lake after the v8.40 update.

Even if Ruin does not have a role in Fortnite’s lore, it is still a captivating skin that players will never have the opportunity to unlock in the future. Jump into your game, utilize our season eight challenge guides to breeze through them, and unlock Ruin for your account.
