Fortnite Introduces New LTM “Barebones” as Replacement for Siphon Mode

Brand-New Fortnite Limited Time Mode: Barebones

A new Limited Time Mode has been introduced in Fortnite: Battle Royale called Barebones. This mode replaces the Siphon mode and offers a different gameplay experience. In Barebones, various elements of the Heads Up Display such as the map, compass, and storm timer are turned off. Players will need to rely on their own instincts to determine who is friend or foe during firefights and to stay away from the storm. Surviving these challenges will be crucial in order to achieve a Victory Royale.

Similar to Call of Duty’s Hardcore Playlist

For Call of Duty fans, Barebones in Fortnite is quite similar to the Hardcore multiplayer playlist. Like Hardcore, Barebones also removes certain elements of the HUD. In this Limited Time Mode, players will not have access to the mini-map, game time, player count, or building instructions. However, they will still be able to see their health, resources, inventory, and ammo capacities. It’s important to constantly stay on the move in Barebones as it can be difficult to keep track of the storm and navigate the map in order to avoid elimination.

Introducing Team Terror

Another exciting LTM now available in Fortnite is Team Terror. Originally introduced in Patch 6.22, this mode features two teams battling against each other while also fending off Cube Monsters.

Enjoy Barebones Before It’s Gone

Epic Games continues to release new LTMs for Fortnite fans throughout the holiday season. Make sure to try out Barebones before it is removed and replaced with a new mode tomorrow.
