Fortnite for Android Leaked, Early Players Emerge

The Imminent Launch of Fortnite: Battle Royale on Android

The highly anticipated launch of Fortnite: Battle Royale on Android is just around the corner, as the game’s Android Package Kit (APK) has been leaked. This leak has allowed some fortunate users to play the game on specific Android phones before its official release.

The leaked APK was shared on the “Fortnite Leaks” subreddit, along with detailed instructions on how to run the game and bypass various obstacles. Currently, the game can be played on the following Samsung phones: Galaxy Note 8, Galaxy On7 2017, Galaxy S7/S7 Edge, Galaxy S8/S8 Plus, and Galaxy S9/S9 Plus.

Since there are currently no Android servers for Fortnite, players who wish to join a game must invite a friend from a different platform and make them the party leader. It may require some effort to get the game going, but if you don’t have any of the five aforementioned platforms and you’re eager to drop into Tilted Towers, this is currently your only option.

Last week, it was announced that Fortnite will not be available on the Google Play Store. Instead, the game will be downloadable exclusively through the Epic Games website. This decision could have contributed to the recent leak.

This decision to bypass the Google Play Store has sparked controversy, as Epic founder Tim Sweeney admitted that it was primarily a financial move to avoid the 30% store tax. Some people have also raised concerns that this decision may make it easier for scammers to exploit younger players who download the game from unofficial sources.

Fortnite on Android is still scheduled for a release sometime this summer.
