Fortnite experiences server downtime due to the 6.31 update; see when they will be restored

Fortnite Servers Down for Scheduled 6.31 Update

The servers for Fortnite are currently down as the game developer Epic Games rolls out the highly anticipated 6.31 update. The scheduled update was announced yesterday and downtime began at 4 am CT today.

During the update, players can expect the servers to be offline for approximately an hour, assuming no major issues are encountered.

Stay Tuned for Updates

If you want to stay informed about the progress of today’s maintenance, you can check the Epic Games Public Status page or follow Fortnite on Twitter. The company will use these platforms to provide updates on when players can join matches and explore all the new changes in the 6.31 update.

New Weapons and Adjustments

Once the servers are back online, players can look forward to discovering the new Epic and Legendary Pump Shotguns. These weapons were teased with the message, “Pump up your squad for the Legendary v6.31 update,” so they are expected to add excitement to gameplay.

In addition to the new weapons, other changes will be implemented in the 6.31 update. Epic Games has made adjustments to the Legendary trap Mounted Turret to address player hitbox issues and reduce its spawn rate.

Server Update Complete

As of 5:03 am CT on November 27, the Fortnite servers are back up and running with the 6.31 update successfully implemented.
