New Explosive Weapon Now Available in Fortnite: Battle Royale
The latest addition to Fortnite: Battle Royale is the explosive weapon known as Bottle Rockets. In the v7.30 Content Update released today, players can now get their hands on this formidable throwable item. The weapon was teased in the in-game News tab yesterday and has finally been revealed.
Uncommon Variant and Where to Find Them
You can find the Bottle Rockets in the game in their Uncommon variant (green). Look out for them in Floor Loot, Chests, Vending Machines, Supply Llamas, and Supply Drops.
Bottle Rocket Abilities and Damage Output
Upon placement, each Bottle Rocket unleashes a barrage of 45 rockets. These rockets deal 10 damage to players and 40 damage to the environment per rocket. In total, this adds up to 450 damage to players and 1,800 damage to the environment.
You can carry up to six Bottle Rockets at a time, in stacks of two. However, you can only have a maximum of two Bottle Rockets active simultaneously.
Strategy and Usage
Bottle Rockets can be effectively used to break down opponents’ structures. Place them strategically to melt the area where your opponents are hiding, while still having the ability to shoot them with your regular weapons. It’s worth noting that after all 45 rockets are launched, the item becomes useless.
The Bottle Rockets offer an alternative to other explosive weapons and can be particularly useful when opponents are turtling inside their structures. By placing the Bottle Rockets strategically, you can melt their cover, allowing you to easily attack them.
