Epic to Provide Grants in Response to Eon Bundle Miscommunication in Fortnite v7.20 Update

Epic Games to Compensate Players for Xbox One S Eon Bundle Miscommunication

Fortnite developer Epic Games has announced that it will begin compensating players next week for a miscommunication regarding the Xbox One S Eon Bundle. The compensation will be rolled out with patch v7.20.

Early buyers of the bundle were disappointed to discover that the “full game download” advertised on store pages did not include access to Fortnite’s Save the World mode. Recognizing their mistake, Epic Games has decided to offer compensation to those who purchased the Eon Bundle.

Players who purchased the special Xbox One S edition of Fortnite before the mistake was identified will now receive full access to Save the World mode. Additionally, players who already owned the mode will be awarded an extra 2,000 V-Bucks in Battle Royale.

On December 27th, Epic Games acknowledged their mistake and announced their plan to identify affected players. They have since identified all of the players and will distribute the compensation with the upcoming 7.20 update, expected to arrive next Tuesday or Wednesday. Granting these items may take several hours to complete.

The Eon Bundle is an exclusive package for those who purchase the Xbox One S 1TB with Fortnite. It includes the pre-installed game, 2,000 V-Bucks, the Eon outfit, the Resonator pickaxe, and the Aurora glider.

Players who purchase the Eon Bundle today will not have access to Save the World mode or receive the bonus 2,000 V-Bucks.
